Having a hard time deciding on an accent color? Start by finding a painting to put over your sofa to create a focal point. Then pull the colors from the painting and use them in your toss cushions, accessories, side panels and throws.

Not sure what to put on your coffee table? Look at layering trays and different bowls. Mix it up when you are looking for things to put in the bowls. Try mixing different textures by combining colored balls, foliage, organic materials and metals.

Having a difficult time finding wall decor that goes together in a space? Look at mixing art, mirrors, clocks and metal art so that it is not just one painting after another. Just having paintings in a room can make the space feel busy and visually heavy.

Does your space feel like it's missing something? Try adding plants; sometimes a room just needs a touch of green, something living to give it a breath of fresh air. Don't have a green thumb?
